Duties Build meaningful, trusting relationships with clients through genuine companionship, conversation, and shared activities. Provide emotional support while promoting independence, confidence, and overall well-being. Prepare nutritious meals according to the client's preferences and dietary needs. Assist with grocery shopping, errands, and other household-related tasks as appropriate. Perform light housekeeping, laundry, linen changes, and maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment. Accompany clients to medical appointments, social activities, religious services, and community outings when appropriate. Encourage participation in hobbies, exercise, walks, games, reading, and other enjoyable activities that promote physical and emotional wellness. Observe changes in the client's physical, emotional, or cognitive condition and promptly report concerns to the Client Care Manager. Assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and safe transfer techniques. Follow the individualized care plan while respecting the client's preferences, routines, privacy, and dignity. Maintain accurate daily documentation of services provided and significant observations. Communicate professionally with family members and the care team to ensure continuity of care. Follow all agency policies regarding confidentiality, infection prevention, emergency procedures, and client safety. Maintain a respectful and professional living environment while residing in the client's home. Experience Previous experience providing companion care, home care, assisted living, memory care, or senior care is preferred. Experience building positive relationships with older adults and supporting individuals with varying levels of independence. Ability to perform personal care assistance with compassion, patience, and professionalism. Comfortable preparing meals and assisting with household organization and light housekeeping. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients, families, and team members. Strong sense of responsibility, dependability, and integrity. Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment. CPR/First Aid certification. TB Test certification. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred. We believe exceptional care begins with genuine relationships. Our Live-In Companions are more than caregivers—they become trusted partners who bring comfort, consistency, and peace of mind to the families we serve. If you are passionate about making a meaningful difference through compassion, responsibility, and authentic companionship, we invite you to become part of a team that values both the people we care for and the professionals who care for them.
