Overview Join our compassionate team as an In Home Caregiver and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized care and support. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive assistance with daily living activities, ensure safety through vigilant patient observation, and promote independence within the comfort of clients' homes. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods. Monitor patients' vital signs, observe health status changes, and accurately document patient conditions in care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect privacy. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation to promote overall well-being. Administer medications safely following prescribed instructions, ensuring compliance with medication administration protocols. Support patients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease through specialized memory care techniques and engagement strategies. Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments or community outings, ensuring safe and timely arrival. Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and sanitation to support a healthy living space. Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare teams to coordinate care plans and ensure resident's rights are respected at all times. Use patient monitoring skills to detect early signs of health deterioration or behavioral changes, escalating concerns promptly. Support individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders through personalized direct support tailored to their unique needs. Experience Prior experience working in home health, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in patient care including personal care assistance, medication management, and vital signs monitoring. Experience working with individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders enhances your ability to provide specialized support. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, hospice care, and memory care best practices is advantageous. Familiarity with HIPAA compliance ensures confidentiality and privacy are maintained at all times during caregiving activities. Hands-on experience using patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other manual handling tools is beneficial. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required to ensure safety during emergencies. Strong communication skills combined with patience and empathy are essential for building trusting relationships with clients and their families. $18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 52.5 per week
