In this role, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with clients in private residences. Your commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those you care for will make a significant impact. Responsibilities Provide direct support to clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. Assist with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs. Offer memory care services to clients experiencing cognitive challenges, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Conduct patient observation to monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation. Maintain a clean and organized living space for clients, ensuring a comfortable atmosphere. Support individuals with developmental disabilities by providing guidance and assistance in daily tasks. Skills Experience in direct support roles or caregiving is preferred. Knowledge of memory care techniques and practices is highly valued. Familiarity with group home environments and assisted living facilities is beneficial. Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in health or behavior promptly. Proficient in providing patient care with compassion and respect for individual needs. CPR certification is a plus, demonstrating readiness for emergency situations. Ability to prepare meals that cater to specific dietary requirements while promoting healthy eating habits. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is an asset.
