Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior Administer medication and assist with medication management following care plans and HIPAA regulations Support clients during meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs while ensuring safety protocols are followed Utilize patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility Maintain detailed documentation of patient care, observations, and progress in compliance with privacy standards Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or community outings to promote independence Requirements Previous experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism is advantageous Ability to perform patient observation, monitor vital signs, and recognize signs of distress or emergencies Strong skills in manual handling, heavy lifting, patient transfer methods, CPR, first aid, and safety procedures Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is desirable Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration Ability to follow care plans accurately while respecting residents' rights and confidentiality under HIPAA regulations Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to providing compassionate care that empowers individuals to live their best lives.
