Job Description

Description:
Join the KFI Team in Lincoln! Are you energetic, creative, and love connecting with people? Looking for a job that's more than just a job ? KFI wants to hear from you! We're a Maine-based nonprofit on a mission: to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living full, independent lives in their communities. Our team is made up of dedicated, fun-loving, and compassionate individuals—and we're growing! At KFI, no two days are the same. If you're someone with a great sense of humor, a strong work ethic, and a desire to make a real difference, we'd love to talk to you. Your ideas matter here—and your work will have an impact. We are seeking a compassionate, friendly, patient, and outgoing person to support Ivan. Ivan has lived in Old Town with his provider for 16 years. He is looking for a passionate DSP who can build a positive relationship and engage in activities he loves. Ivan is a social person who values staying connected with his family and friends. His interests are a big part of his life, and he would love a caregiver who can share them with him. He enjoys old music, learning about and riding on trains. He likes shopping, walking, and cruising around town. The ideal candidate is reliable, enjoys building connections, and shares some of Ivan's interests. This candidate will have good listening skills, be curious, but not nosey, and comfortable with silence. Responsibilities will focus on engaging in conversations, maintaining friendships, making community connections, listening to music, and watching classic TV. Ivan would like support in engaging with some of his hobbies. Support staff will also be responsible for transportation around the community, to events, and locations of Ivan's choosing.
