Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Specialist to provide exceptional care and assistance to individuals in various care settings. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene Support patient mobility using proper manual handling techniques and patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices Monitor vital signs, observe patient conditions, and report changes promptly to healthcare professionals Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed Administer medications following care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, patient observations, and incident reports in accordance with healthcare standards Support residents' rights by respecting their preferences, promoting autonomy, and fostering a respectful environment Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Demonstrated experience in dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, or hospice care is advantageous Proven ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or intellectual disabilities support Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques, medication administration, first aid, CPR certification, and vital signs measurement is essential Experience assisting with ADLs, manual handling including heavy lifting, patient transfers using Hoyer lifts or other equipment Familiarity with resident's rights policies and HIPAA compliance standards is required Strong communication skills for client interaction and teamwork in a caregiving setting Join our team to provide compassionate support that enhances the quality of life for those in need!
