Overview Join our compassionate team as a Direct Care Professional specializing in Memory Care, where your dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with cognitive disabilities. In this vital role, you will provide personalized support, ensuring residents' safety, comfort, and well-being through engaging caregiving and attentive supervision. Your energy and empathy will foster a warm, respectful environment that promotes dignity and independence for those we serve. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote independence and comfort Monitor residents' vital signs regularly, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, to ensure health stability Support residents with memory care needs by implementing personalized care plans and behavior management techniques Administer medications accurately following prescribed instructions and document all medication-related activities Engage residents in meaningful activities and social interactions to enhance mental stimulation and emotional well-being Practice safe patient lifting techniques and manual handling procedures to prevent injury for both residents and staff Maintain a clean, safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks like cleaning and meal preparation Skills Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care environments with a focus on geriatrics or memory care Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's disease, and cognitive disabilities to tailor support effectively Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and respond appropriately to health changes Strong caregiving skills with experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general Certification in CPR and First Aid to ensure immediate response during emergencies Excellent communication skills for engaging with residents, families, and team members effectively Physical stamina for heavy lifting, resident transfers, and long shifts; familiarity with safe patient lifting practices Join us in creating a nurturing space where compassion meets professionalism. $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
