Overnight Personal Caregiver — Fixed Full-Time Schedule Bay City, MI$22.40 per hourFull-Time — 37 Hours per Week We are seeking an experienced and dependable caregiver to provide one-on-one support for an individual with disabilities in a private home. This position is ideal for someone who understands that overnight care means maintaining a calm, quiet household environment while remaining awake, attentive, and ready to provide hands-on care whenever the individual is awake or needs assistance. This is one client in one home—not a facility and not multiple clients. Required Schedule The schedule is fixed and will not change. This is a full-time position with overnight shifts throughout the week, including every weekend. Monday night is off.

AM Sunday:

9:00 PM-4:00 AM Monday night: OFF This schedule totals 37 hours per week. Applicants must be available to work the complete schedule every week, including all weekend shifts. The schedule is consistent and is not expected to change. What Overnight Care Looks Like This is an awake overnight position. Sleeping during the shift is not permitted. The home is kept quiet during nighttime hours so the individual and other household members can sleep. Staff must be able to work respectfully in a calm, low-noise environment while remaining attentive to the individual's needs. When the individual wakes or needs assistance, staff are expected to respond promptly and provide appropriate hands-on care.

This may include:

Changing briefs and providing hygiene/personal care Repositioning and assisting with comfort Performing Hoyer lift transfers when needed Assisting with mobility and positioning Monitoring for seizure activity and aspiration concerns Providing supervision and support while the individual is awake Completing required nighttime care and household responsibilities during appropriate downtime Cleaning and maintaining care-related equipment and the immediate care environment Following established care instructions and routines Completing required documentation Physical Requirements This is a hands-on caregiving position. Applicants must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the job, including: Hoyer lift transfers Lifting and repositioning Bending and stooping Personal care and brief changes Positioning and mobility assistance Applicants must be able to perform these essential duties safely, with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications Previous professional or paid caregiving experience required Three professional or employment references required Dependable attendance Reliable transportation Able to remain awake and attentive throughout the entire overnight shift Comfortable providing hands-on personal care and changing briefs Comfortable performing Hoyer lift transfers Able to maintain a quiet and respectful nighttime environment Able to follow established care instructions and routines Strong communication and documentation skills Available to work the complete fixed schedule every week, including all weekend shifts Paid training provided.
