Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety guidelines Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or cognitive disabilities, utilizing memory care techniques and behavior management strategies Engage residents in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and social interaction Practice safe patient lifting techniques and manual handling procedures to prevent injury for both residents and staff Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and meal preparation Communicate effectively with residents' families, healthcare providers, and team members to ensure coordinated care plans Follow all safety protocols including first aid procedures and CPR to respond promptly during emergencies Support residents' emotional well-being through compassionate listening and respectful interaction Qualifications Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, geriatrics, and long-term care practices Experience assisting with ADLs and providing personal care in home or community settings Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as medication administration or safe patient lifting are a plus Ability to operate standard passenger vehicles for client transportation when needed Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents with disabilities or cognitive impairments Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely throughout shifts Compassionate attitude with a commitment to delivering respectful resident-centered care Join us in creating a positive impact through compassionate caregiving!
