This vital role involves providing comprehensive assistance to clients in their homes, promoting independence, safety, and well-being. As an In Home Caregiver, you will be a trusted companion and caregiver, delivering high-quality patient care with enthusiasm and dedication. We are committed to fostering a supportive environment where your skills and compassion can truly shine, ensuring every client receives respectful, attentive, and personalized care. We are in need of caregivers to work day shift or overnights. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to promote comfort and dignity. Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs, assessing symptoms, and reporting changes to healthcare professionals promptly. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary. Support clients with mobility using proper patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques to ensure safety for both the client and caregiver. Administer medications accurately following care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality. Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient observations, medication administration, and any incidents or concerns. Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments, errands, or community activities to foster independence and social engagement. Qualifications Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support, or senior care is highly preferred. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care (including Alzheimer's and memory care), hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Ability to perform light to heavy lifting safely; experience with patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts is a plus. Certification in CPR and First Aid; ongoing training in home health or long-term care is advantageous. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining resident's rights within assisted living or nursing home environments. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration. Experience working with individuals with autism or other neurodevelopmental disorders is desirable.
