Overview Join our compassionate team as a Direct Care Worker, where your dedication and caring nature will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities and personal care. This vital role offers an opportunity to provide respectful, personalized assistance to our residents. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Administer medications accurately following prescribed instructions and maintain detailed documentation using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts to ensure safe transfers and mobility support Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness in meal areas Support residents' social engagement and emotional well-being through compassionate interaction. Skills experience in long-term care settings such as nursing homes or personal care homes with a strong understanding of senior care practices and plus but we're willing to train the right candidates. Experience in assisted living environments, home & community care, or group home operations a plus Ability to perform first aid procedures confidently and respond effectively to emergencies Desire to work with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring support Familiarity with dementia and Alzheimer's care techniques, including behavior management strategies and plus Willingness to learn vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic health monitoring caregiving skills complemented by excellent communication abilities and a caring attitude Ability to learn how to operate EMR systems efficiently for documentation purposes Valid driver's license Embark on a rewarding career where your compassion fuels positive change.
