The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for residents and clients by delivering personalized care with professionalism and empathy. This role involves assisting with daily activities, monitoring health status, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for those in your care. Responsibilities Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Provide patient observation and monitor vital signs as needed Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs Assist with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer techniques for heavy lifting Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through light cleaning duties Follow individualized care plans to meet specific health and emotional needs Document patient care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA and facility policies Respond promptly to emergencies or changes in patient condition, including CPR or first aid if necessary Support residents with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease through specialized memory care techniques Engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being and social interaction Experience Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments preferred Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or dementia is highly desirable Knowledge of medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and patient observation techniques is beneficial Familiarity with care plans, HIPAA compliance, and patient monitoring protocols is advantageous Previous caregiving roles involving long-term care or hospice care are a plus Certifications such as CPR and First Aid are preferred but can be provided upon hire for qualified candidates interested in obtaining them This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve while working within a supportive team environment.
