Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Direct Care Worker (Resident Care Specialist) to provide exceptional support and personalized care to residents in a 20 bed facility. In this vital role, you will assist residents with their daily needs, promote independence, and ensure their safety and comfort. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure resident health and safety Support residents with medication administration following proper protocols and documentation procedures Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques Operate manual handling equipment safely to assist with resident transfers and repositioning while adhering to safe patient lifting practices Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary guidelines and assist residents during meal times to promote proper nutrition Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident areas and common spaces Medication Adminsitrations Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of dementia care, memory care techniques, and geriatrics best practices Experience assisting with ADLs and providing personal care in home or community settings Training or certification in first aid and CPR. (Will provide); ongoing certification is encouraged Familiarity with medication administration procedures and resident rights regulations. Pay:
$15.00 - $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 30.0 per week
