Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dedicated Caregiver to join our team in providing exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents and clients by delivering personalized care with kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail. Duties Assist residents and clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate care records Administer medications and follow care plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations and healthcare standards Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed Support patients during medical procedures or therapies such as CPR, first aid, or hospice care when necessary Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing cleaning duties and ensuring proper infection control practices Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's to assist with heavy lifting or transfers safely Document patient progress, update care plans, and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and family members Provide social support by engaging residents in activities that promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being Follow all safety protocols related to home health, assisted living, nursing home, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, autism support, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly desirable Proven ability to work with individuals with disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's disease or other memory impairments Knowledge of medication administration protocols and patient monitoring techniques Experience providing home & community care or home health services is preferred Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards in healthcare settings Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications such as hospice care or social work are advantageous Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's Strong communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams, residents' families, and other caregivers Join us as a Caregiver to bring compassion into action!
