In this role, you will be the primary caregiver and advocate, ensuring residents receive personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. Your dedication will help create a nurturing environment where residents feel valued, respected, and empowered to live their best lives. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day through direct support and community engagement. Responsibilities Provide hands-on assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's personal assistive devices. Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes to healthcare professionals promptly. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet dietary needs and preferences of residents. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing regular cleaning duties in accordance with health standards. Support residents in participating in social activities, community outings, and recreational programs to foster socialization and community integration. Document care activities accurately in resident care plans and coordinate with healthcare teams for ongoing support and updates. Skills Prefer experience working in assisted living, group homes, nursing homes, or home & community care settings but not required. Willingness to work with individuals with autism or disabilities. Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, and medication administration are highly desirable. We can help with trainings if needed. Strong patient observation skills coupled with the ability to monitor vital signs and recognize emergency situations swiftly. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's personal assistive devices. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, residents, families, and healthcare providers. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of resident information.
