In this vital role, you will provide personalized care and support to residents in a community setting, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Your active engagement will help create a warm, welcoming environment where residents feel valued and cared for. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference while developing your skills in healthcare and caregiving. Responsibilities Supervise and protect residents, ensuring safety, general well-being, and proper transferring, ambulation, and daily living support Assist with personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, dressing, walking, toileting, and meeting resident requests Support residents with treatment plans and participate in leisure and recreational activities Document and report resident physical, behavioral, and medical conditions Follow safe environmental and infection-control precautions, including cleaning product handling and bloodborne-pathogen procedures Assist with emergency preparedness, drills, and documentation Prepare and serve meals, label and date food, and prevent spoilage Provide housekeeping support, including light cleaning, making beds, and laundry Report repairs, supplies needed, incidents, or concerns to the Home Manager Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and respectful communication with residents, families, coworkers, and guests Attend and participate in in-service education and staff meetings Oversee all medication administration, including supervising self-administration and completing Medication Administration Record (MAR) documentation Must pass Physical and Background/ Fingerprint Check Able to complete required reports and follow written and oral instructions Able to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of each resident Able to handle emergency situations Must be competent in: Reporting requirements First Aid and CPR Personal care and resident supervision Resident rights Safety and fire prevention Prevention and containment of communicable diseases Medication administration Join us in providing exceptional care that enriches lives!
