Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Staff to provide assistance to residents on night shift and midnight shift. Shifts would run 2p-9p, 2p-10p for night shift/afternoons and 6p-6a or 10p-6a. Full and Part time position available. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support. Administer medications following prescribed care plans and ensure accurate documentation using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems. Monitor vital signs and observe health changes, reporting any concerns promptly to healthcare professionals. Support residents with memory care needs by implementing behavior management strategies and engaging in therapeutic activities tailored to individual preferences. Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary restrictions and assist with meal service while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area. Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing housekeeping duties, including cleaning bathrooms and common spaces. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care settings is highly desirable. Experience assisting with ADLs, medication administration, and implementing care plans for individuals with disabilities or memory impairments such as dementia. Knowledge of medical terminology, first aid procedures, HIPAA compliance, and EMR systems is preferred. Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting is sometimes required. Strong patience and empathy are essential for success in this role.
