Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Support residents with memory care needs related to Alzheimer's disease and dementia through personalized engagement and behavior management techniques Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and safety protocols Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control standards Follow resident's rights policies diligently, respecting individual preferences and privacy at all times Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care plans and updates Skills Prior experience in assisted living or nursing home environments is highly valued Strong knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and memory care best practices Ability to perform manual handling safely and execute safe patient lifting techniques Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is preferred Certifications such as CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid are required or highly desirable Capable of heavy lifting when necessary to assist residents or move equipment safely Excellent client communication skills coupled with compassionate caregiving instincts Familiarity with medication administration procedures and resident safety protocols Knowledge of group home or retirement home operations enhances effectiveness in this role This full-time night shift position offers an inspiring environment where your dedication directly impacts the well-being of residents.
