About the RoleEisenhower Center is seeking compassionate, reliable Care Support Specialists to provide person-centered support for individuals with disabilities, including residents with CMH/TBI diagnoses. Candidates with caregiving experience, behavioral redirection skills, and a passion for helping others are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Support residents in achieving individual goals and following person-centered care and behavior plans. Provide safe, respectful, high-quality care while promoting resident rights and independence. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and maintain positive relationships with residents. Transport residents to appointments and advocate for their needs when necessary. Complete accurate and timely documentation. Remain awake and accessible during all assigned shifts in 24/7 care settings. Follow organizational policies, procedures, and training requirements. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Experience in healthcare, caregiving, or direct support preferred. Experience supporting individuals with disabilities and behavioral needs preferred. Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated patience, empathy, professionalism, and confidentiality. Ability to pass required background checks. Ideal Candidate Knowledge of CMH/TBI populations and behavioral redirection techniques. Strong client-focused approach and commitment to exceptional care. Self-motivated, dependable, and collaborative. Able to make sound decisions, solve problems, and accept constructive feedback. Additional Information Consistent attendance and engagement are required. Full-time and part-time staff are expected to work scheduled shifts and may pick up additional shifts as approved.
