Overview I'm looking for a live in for a adult foster care home you get your live in quarters and all your utilities for being home at night. And doing morning care also paid hours available. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Staff to provide essential support and assistance to individuals with diverse needs in various care settings. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for residents through personalized care, fostering a safe, respectful, and engaging environment. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized memory or dementia care. All positions are paid, reflecting the importance of this vital work. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring dignity and respect at all times. Support medication administration under supervision, monitoring vital signs such as blood pressure and pulse as needed. Provide companionship and social support to promote mental well-being and engagement in activities. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing housekeeping tasks laundry Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration to meet individual dietary needs. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to develop personalized care plans. Follow all safety procedures including first aid protocols to respond effectively during emergencies. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or personal care homes is highly desirable. Demonstrated competence in caregiving roles involving assisting with ADLs and providing personal care support. Familiarity with long-term care environments such as retirement homes or group homes is preferred. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's support strategies, and behavior management techniques is advantageous. Experience with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and basic health assessments is beneficial. Working knowledge of EMR systems for documentation purposes is a plus. Previous home & community care experience that emphasizes compassionate support for individuals with disabilities or chronic conditions is valued.
