Job Description
Overview The 3rd Med Passer plays a crucial role in providing direct support to individuals in assisted living and group home settings. This position involves administering medications, monitoring patient health, and ensuring compliance with health regulations such as HIPAA. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with disabilities, including dementia, and will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve. Responsibilities Administer medications to residents in accordance with prescribed schedules and protocols. Monitor patients for any changes in condition and report findings to healthcare professionals. Assist residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety. Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient monitoring. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality. Skills Experience in direct support roles within assisted living or group home environments. Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and the ability to recognize medical emergencies. Certification in CPR and first aid is preferred. Familiarity with home health care practices and working with individuals with disabilities, including autism. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards.
