Job Description
Comfort Keepers is looking for an experienced, dependable On-Call Caregiver to provide one-on-one care to seniors in their homes throughout our service area. This position is ideal for an experienced caregiver who is comfortable with a flexible schedule, traveling throughout our coverage area, and stepping in when care is needed. In addition to hourly pay for hours worked, you will receive a daily stipend for remaining available while on call, plus a bonus for any shift worked during your on-call period. Schedule & On-Call Expectations Available on-call days are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday You must commit to 2 of these days On your scheduled days, you will be on call for a 24-hour period You will not work more than 12 hours within a 24-hour on-call period Must be prepared to accept caregiver assignments throughout our coverage area during your on-call period What You'll Do As an On-Call Caregiver, you'll step in where you're needed to ensure our clients continue receiving dependable, compassionate care.
Responsibilities may include:
Providing one-on-one care to elderly clients in their homes Assisting with personal care Preparing meals Performing light housekeeping Providing medication reminders Assisting with transfers and mobility Providing transportation and completing errands with clients Training and supporting caregivers as needed Helping ensure continuity of care when covering open or unexpected shifts Qualifications We're looking for someone who is experienced, flexible, and comfortable working independently.Candidates must have:
6+ months of direct care experience Ability to lift at least 25 pounds Reliable transportation and the ability to drive throughout our coverage area Flexibility to respond to assignments during scheduled on-call periods A dependable and professional approach to caring for older adults Service Area Our primary service areas include: Grand Haven- Muskegon
- North Muskegon
- Spring Lake Assignments may also extend north to Montague and east to Coopersville , so applicants must be comfortable traveling throughout the full coverage area.
