Responsibilities Provide comprehensive assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly Assist with medication administration following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and maintaining nutritional standards tailored to individual needs Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling equipment safely during transfers and mobility support Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks like cleaning resident areas and ensuring infection control protocols are followed Document patient observations, care activities, and incident reports accurately to ensure seamless communication among team members Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or intellectual disabilities support Ability to perform patient monitoring including vital signs assessment and recognizing signs of distress or deterioration Proficiency in assisting with ADLs and providing direct support aligned with individualized care plans Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as manual handling or heavy lifting are advantageous Strong communication skills combined with a caring attitude to foster trust and positive relationships with residents and team members Join us in making a difference every day!
