Basic Care Provider- Provides care in clients home, including but not limited to light housekeeping, chores, errands, meal prep. Join our team as a Basic Care Provider and help clients maintain comfort, dignity, and independence in their own homes. Working under the direct supervision of a registered nurse or supervisor to provide services to stable, maintenance clients, whose needs are not medically based. Services include personal care and assistance with activities of daily living according to the plan of care. They also provide homemaking, housekeeping and other activities inside and outside the home which support client independence. Essential Job Functions Provide appropriate level of care as prescribed.

This may include the following:

Assists with clients with personal hygiene. Assists with client with activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living. Assists the client with medication reminders for medications that are ordinarily self-administered. Provides nutritional support. Performs other related supportive tasks. Assists with homemaking and laundry. Assists with grocery shopping and basic meal preparation Assists with the maintenance of a safe interior and exterior physical environment. Assistance as a transportation escort. Assists with respite and companion service. Participates in chart review as required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent. Additional education related to medical rules, regulations, and processes preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have current Michigan driver's license. Must have valid automobile insurance and registration and reliable transportation or alternate provisions. Must have current BLS CPR certification. Work Environment & Physical Demands
