Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance in a specialty licensed group home. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Caregivers wI'll provide personalized care tailored to each individual's needs. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide patient observation and monitoring to ensure safety and well-being 24/7. Administer medication as prescribed and assist with care plans. Support clients with mobility and transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions or preferences. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being. Document patient care activities accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients with developmental disabilities, dementia, or Alzheimer's disease. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery. Qualifications Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health, hospice care, or long-term care is highly valued. Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is a plus. Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and vital sign assessment. Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly valued. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility needs. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Understanding of basic cooking skills and meal preparation for special dietary needs.
