Job Description

The Youth Care Worker plays a vital role in providing a safe, supportive, and trauma-informed environment for youth residing in our emergency shelter. This position ensures the personal care, safety, and well-being of all youth while maintaining the facility's daily operations and contributing to a positive, supportive environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience working with youth or in a residential setting preferred. Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to remain calm and use sound judgment in crisis situations. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Commitment to trauma-informed care, diversity, and youth voice. On-call shift coverage is required.
Schedule:
Ability to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
