HIRING FOR MIDNIGHT SHIFT
(11p-7a) & AFTERNOON SHIFT (3P-11P) Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Resident Assistant and become a vital part of creating a caring, supportive environment for residents in long-term care, assisted living, or memory care settings. In this energetic role, you will provide compassionate assistance to residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Your enthusiasm and proactive approach will help foster a positive community where residents feel valued and empowered. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while gaining valuable experience in senior care and support services. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Support residents with dementia or memory care needs through personalized engagement and behavior management strategies Administer medications following prescribed protocols using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Provide safe transfer assistance using equipment like Hoyer lifts and assist with mobility around the facility Help with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and maintaining cleanliness in resident living areas Support residents' emotional well-being through social activities, companionship, and encouraging participation in community events Qualifications Prior experience in long-term care, nursing homes, or home & community care environments preferred Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities Certified in first aid and CPR; experience with medication administration is highly desirable Ability to perform personal care tasks such as assisting with ADLs and providing mobility support safely Familiarity with EMR systems and basic cleaning duties within healthcare settings Valid driver's license for transportation needs if required by the role Strong communication skills, patience, compassion, and a proactive attitude toward resident support Join us to empower residents through compassionate caregiving while developing your skills in senior health support!
