Role:
Altum Care Homes in Southfield, MI is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Professional to join our team. Responsibilities:
Provide direct, hands-on personal care and assistance to residents with daily living activities (ADLs) Support individuals with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition Monitor and document resident health, behavior, and progress Administer medications as directed and in accordance with care plans Facilitate community outings, recreational activities, and social engagement Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and healthcare professionals Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive home environment for all residents
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required Previous experience in direct care, caregiving, or a related healthcare setting preferred CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Strong interpersonal and communication skills Compassionate, patient, and dependable with a resident-first mindset Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
