Join Our Team as an In-Home Aide and Make a Difference Where It Matters Most ! The St. Joseph County Commission on Aging is seeking compassionate, dependable, and hardworking individuals to provide in-home support to older adults throughout our community. Our clients rely on us to help them remain safe and independent in their own homes. Every client has a unique story, and every home reflects their individual circumstances. While some homes may be well maintained, others may require a little extra care due to the natural challenges that can come with aging, illness, or changes in health. Our aides approach each home with compassion, understanding, and a commitment to helping our clients remain safely and comfortably independent.
Responsibilities Include:
Light housekeeping Laundry and linen changes Meal preparation Assistance with errands and grocery shopping Personal care Respite care Supporting clients in maintaining a safe and healthy home environment We're Looking for
Someone Who:
Has a caring attitude and heart to serve. Is comfortable working in a variety of home environments. Can adapt to changing situations with patience and professionalism. Is reliable, dependable, and enjoys helping others.
Requirements:
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. High School Diploma Ability to perform light physical tasks, including standing, bending, lifting, and cleaning. Ability to communicate respectfully with older adults and their families. Background check and any required pre-employment screenings. Why Join Us?
