The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping others and the ability to work effectively with individuals with diverse needs, including seniors and those with developmental disabilities. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide personal care while ensuring the dignity and comfort of each resident. Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences. Support clients in engaging in social activities and community involvement. Administer medications as prescribed and assist with care plans tailored to individual needs. Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers when necessary. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive information. Requirements Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health, hospice care, or long-term care is preferred. Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is a plus. Familiarity with memory care techniques, including Alzheimer's and dementia care, is highly desirable. Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities or autism is advantageous. Strong patient observation skills to monitor changes in health status effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility challenges. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams. A compassionate demeanor combined with patience and understanding when working with diverse populations. Ability to follow care plans accurately while adapting to the changing needs of clients.
