Duties Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques Monitor residents' vital signs and observe patient conditions to ensure safety and well-being, documenting changes accurately in care plans Administer medications following HIPAA guidelines and medication administration protocols while maintaining detailed records Support residents with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, autism, or other neurodevelopmental disorders through specialized memory care techniques and patient observation Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning and preparation to meet individual dietary needs Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments or community outings, ensuring safe and timely arrival Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident areas and adhering to infection control standards Communicate effectively with residents and their families about care plans, resident rights, and progress updates Respond promptly to emergencies with first aid or CPR when necessary, ensuring resident safety at all times Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of patient care practices including medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and patient observation Experience supporting individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), intellectual disabilities or developmental disabilities supports is advantageous Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality in healthcare settings is essential Proven ability to assist with ADLs and provide compassionate caregiving for seniors or individuals with disabilities Hands-on experience using patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other manual handling tools is beneficial Strong communication skills for engaging with residents, families, and team members in a respectful manner Join us if you're eager to bring energy and compassion into the lives of our veterans!
