Live-In Senior Companion / Caregiver Washington Township, Michigan Compensation + private living accommodations, meals, utilities, and vehicle We are looking for a caring, dependable, trustworthy, and mature individual to serve as a live-in companion/caregiver for an independent senior woman in Washington Township, Michigan. About the Senior The senior is independent, active, and enjoys a busy social life . She routinely goes out on her own three to four days per week, enjoys regular trips with friends, and receives frequent visits from family. She is generally self-sufficient but can occasionally be forgetful. The caregiver's role is primarily to provide companionship, organization, reminders, assistance with errands, and peace of mind rather than intensive hands-on care. She is religious and recently widowed, so a compassionate individual who appreciates the importance of companionship, conversation, and maintaining independence would be an excellent fit. Typical Daily Routine The senior typically: Wakes around 7:00 AM Goes to bed around 9:00 PM Is active and frequently out of the home during the day Currently has no overnight care requirements The caregiver is not expected to provide 24-hour active care . The senior is independent and spends considerable time away from the home. Responsibilities The caregiver will assist with: Daily companionship and conversation General daily activities and organization Laying out daily medications and providing reminders Helping ensure nutritional needs are met Grocery shopping and occasional errands Preparing or assisting with meals when appropriate Occasional transportation using a vehicle provided by the family Helping maintain a safe and secure home Checking that doors are locked when appropriate Making sure the stove and appliances are turned off Providing reminders when the senior is forgetful Communicating with family regarding any concerns or noticeable changes Being a dependable presence in the home while respecting the senior's independence and privacy Living Arrangements The caregiver will have a private living area in the home.

The family will provide:

Private bedroom/living accommodations Meals Utilities and normal living expenses Use of a vehicle when transportation is required Time Off & Vacation We recognize that a live-in caregiver needs personal time and the ability to maintain their own life outside of work. Days off and personal time will be handled flexibly and coordinated with the family. Vacation can be accommodated with at least two weeks' advance notice , allowing the family to arrange appropriate coverage. Family Support The family is actively involved and visits frequently. The caregiver will have a strong support system and will not be expected to manage the senior's needs without family involvement .
