Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to support health assessments Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or cognitive disabilities through tailored activities and support strategies Administer medications following prescribed protocols and ensure proper documentation of medication administration Support residents with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and maintaining nutritional needs in accordance with dietary plans Practice safe patient lifting techniques and manual handling procedures to prevent injury for residents and staff Engage in behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions and reduce agitation or distress Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of dementia care, memory care, geriatrics, and long-term care environments Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous Familiarity with resident's rights, safety protocols, and client communication best practices Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as medication administration or safe patient lifting are a plus Hands-on experience in home & community care settings or group homes enhances suitability for this role Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary while maintaining safety standards Join us as a Direct Care Staff member to provide compassionate support that transforms lives.
