Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure resident health and safety Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols and maintaining accurate documentation Engage residents in social activities, recreational programs, and meaningful interactions to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with resident transfers and mobility needs Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties, including cleaning resident areas and common spaces Follow safety protocols for resident care, including safe patient lifting practices and emergency response procedures such as first aid and CPR Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care settings is highly desirable Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, geriatrics, and behavior management techniques Ability to assist with ADLs effectively while demonstrating patience and compassion Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications in medication administration or EMR systems are a plus Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is preferred Strong communication skills for engaging with residents, families, and team members Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and support resident mobility needs Valid driver's license for driving responsibilities related to home & community care or group home activities Join us in creating a nurturing environment where every individual feels valued and supported.
