Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Overnight Care Provider to deliver exceptional care and support to individuals in a residential or community-based setting during nighttime hours. This role offers an energizing opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being through attentive caregiving and vigilant monitoring. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive attitude, strong communication skills, and a passion for providing high-quality care to those with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring memory care. This paid position is vital in creating a safe and nurturing environment for residents overnight. Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance including help with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor residents' vital signs and overall health status during overnight shifts, reporting any concerns promptly. Assist with medication administration following prescribed schedules and safety protocols. Maintain a safe environment by practicing proper manual handling techniques and adhering to safe patient lifting practices. Support residents with dementia or cognitive disabilities through behavior management strategies and compassionate engagement. Document all care activities accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems or paper logs as required. Respond swiftly to emergencies or incidents, coordinating with emergency services when necessary, and ensuring resident safety at all times. Skills Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly valued. Strong background in assisting with ADLs, medication management, and vital signs monitoring. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and geriatrics best practices. Proficiency in CPR and first aid certification to handle emergency situations confidently. Ability to operate standard passenger cars safely for client transportation or errands if needed. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is preferred. Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with residents, families, and team members while maintaining confidentiality.
