Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance including help with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor residents' vital signs and overall health status during overnight shifts, reporting any concerns promptly. Assist with medication administration following prescribed schedules and safety protocols. Maintain a safe environment by practicing proper manual handling techniques and adhering to safe patient lifting practices. Support residents with dementia or cognitive disabilities through behavior management strategies and compassionate engagement. Document all care activities accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems or paper logs as required. Respond swiftly to emergencies or incidents, coordinating with emergency services when necessary, and ensuring resident safety at all times. Skills Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly valued. Strong background in assisting with ADLs, medication management, and vital signs monitoring. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and geriatrics best practices. Proficiency in CPR and first aid certification to handle emergency situations confidently. Ability to operate standard passenger cars safely for client transportation or errands if needed. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is preferred. Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with residents, families, and team members while maintaining confidentiality.
