As a Direct Support Professional, you will work in one of our 8 residential community based group homes. As a Direct Support Professional, you will increase clients' quality of life through recreational activities, community outings, leisure activities, reading to clients, playing games, etc. Assist with personal cares (showering, toileting, hygiene, getting ready for the day, meal prep, etc.) Maintain a safe and clean home environment (assisting with laundry, cleanliness of living areas, ensure safe walkways/sidewalks, etc.) Provide client behavior assistance, support and behavior modification according to the client Treatment Plans. Develop and maintain a therapeutic relationship with clients. Provide medication administration to clients as directed by nursing staff and the treatment plan, as well as observe and keep accurate documentation. Ensure effective communication and documentation. Conduct daily review of client communication logs and complete charting. Be on time and ready to work. Maintain a steady pace at work and ensure tasks are completed by the end of your shift. Complete required training by established deadline.
