Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Lead Staff member to oversee operations within a group home setting dedicated to providing exceptional care for residents with diverse needs. As a Lead Staff, you will serve as a vital team leader, ensuring the safety, well-being, and dignity of residents while fostering a supportive and organized environment. Your role will involve supervising staff, coordinating daily activities, and implementing individualized care plans to promote independence and enhance the quality of life for all residents. In addition, you will actively engage with residents through regular check-ins, provide emotional support, and build meaningful relationships to ensure their needs are consistently met. The Lead Staff will also facilitate communication by coordinating and participating in conference calls and weekly meetings with residents, their families, and the care team to provide updates, address concerns, and support collaborative care planning. Duties Supervise and mentor direct care staff, ensuring adherence to care protocols and safety standards Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs and recognizing signs of medical or behavioral issues Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including assisting with mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts Maintain accurate documentation using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, including incident reports and care notes Coordinate transportation for appointments or community outings, ensuring safe driving practices Implement behavior management strategies for residents with dementia or developmental disabilities to promote positive interactions Skills Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments Strong knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and senior care best practices Ability to perform first aid and respond effectively in emergency situations Skilled in assisting with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene Experience working with individuals with disabilities or behavioral challenges; familiarity with behavior management techniques Competence in vital signs monitoring and medication administration following proper protocols Familiarity with Hoyer lifts, EMR systems, and other caregiving tools; ability to operate cleaning equipment safely Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals Valid driver's license for safe transportation duties; understanding of home & community care standards Join us in creating a nurturing environment where every resident feels valued and supported! $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
