Job Description

Aging Services for Communities has been providing transportation and homemaking services to individuals and families since 2004. We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to take on the vital role of a Homemaker in the communities of Northfield, Faribault, Morristown, Burnsville, Lakeville, New Prague and Montgomery. As a Homemaker, you will contribute to creating a warm and nurturing home environment for the elderly and disabled persons to keep them in their homes. This involves a variety of tasks that center around providing support and maintaining a comfortable living space. As we continue to expand our team, we are actively seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join us as Homemakers (DSP).
Key Responsibilities:
Household Management:
Oversee daily household operations, including cleaning, organizing, and maintaining a tidy living space. Manage laundry and other housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and welcoming home. Meal Planning and Preparation (on occasion): Plan and prepare nutritious and well-balanced meals based on dietary preferences and restrictions. Grocery shopping and putting away groceries for easy access to the client.
Time Management:
Develop and maintain a schedule to efficiently help clients. Prioritize client's tasks based on urgency and importance.
Communication:
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of duties, activities, and incident reports.
