Job Description
We are adding a new position to our care team in Lake City. This position will solely work to ensure bathing is completed for assigned residents. Shift is 6a-10a and includes every other weekend. Job Overview Join our compassionate team as a Caregiver - Bath Aide, where your dedication and caring nature will make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents requiring assistance with personal hygiene and bathing routines. This vital role ensures residents feel comfortable, safe, and dignified while receiving top-quality care. You will work closely with other caregiving professionals to promote well-being, independence, and a positive environment for all residents. Your energy and attention to detail will help create a warm, supportive community where residents thrive. Duties Assist residents with bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene activities in a respectful and compassionate manner Support residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance Monitor residents' vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior, reporting findings to nursing staff Follow safe manual handling practices to lift, transfer, or reposition residents safely and comfortably Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and shared spaces to promote a hygienic environment Document care provided accurately in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and communicate effectively with team members Support residents with meal preparation and feeding as needed, ensuring dietary needs are met Skills Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care environments is highly valued Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and memory care techniques to support residents with cognitive disabilities Ability to perform vital sign checks accurately and understand basic health indicators Strong understanding of safe patient lifting practices and manual handling techniques Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or complex behavioral needs Excellent communication skills for engaging with residents, families, and team members effectively Join us in providing exceptional care that enhances the quality of life for our residents.
