First smiles, first words, first wobbly steps across the rug — and the first time a little person outside their family learns that the world is a safe place to explore. That is not "just babysitting." That is the most important teaching there is, and we treat it that way. Growing Explorers Learning Center is a high-quality child care center serving children ages 6 weeks through 5 years across our Infant, Toddler, Preschool, and Pre-K programs. We are looking for an Infant Teacher who is warm, unhurried, and delighted by babies — someone who understands that responsive caregiving is curriculum, and who wants to be the calm, familiar face a new parent trusts on their very first day back at work. We are right in your neighborhood. Growing Explorers sits in the east metro just off the intersection of I-94 and Radio Drive/Inwood Ave. What your days look like Provide warm, responsive, one-on-one care — feeding, diapering, rocking, and comforting with genuine affection Follow each infant's individual schedule for eating and sleeping, and keep families closely in the loop Create a safe, calm, sensory-rich space for tummy time, floor play, music, books, and exploration Notice and celebrate developmental milestones, and document them for parents (your classroom iPad makes this quick) Build real trust with families — for many, you are the person who makes going back to work feel okay Keep the room clean, safe, and welcoming alongside your co-teacher What we're looking for Genuine passion for early childhood education and a love of caring for babies A nurturing, patient, and gentle presence — infants read your calm before they read anything else 1+ year of early childhood or infant classroom experience strongly preferred CDA, Associate/Bachelor's degree strongly preferred Dependable and committed — infants thrive on consistent, familiar caregivers Comfortable with the physical side of infant care: lifting babies, floor time, and being on the move CPR & First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain (we train and pay for it) Able to pass a background check and fingerprinting Available full time Still finishing your credits?
