The ideal candidate has immediate availability with a minimum of 2 years lawn care/ landscape experience & a valid driver's license. Ideally able to start ASAP, although are flexible for the right person. Also would prefer being able to operate a plow truck for the upcoming winter, although not required. Responsibilities Perform mowing, trimming, edging, and general lawn care to maintain healthy, attractive turf areas using power tools and hand tools. Operate landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hedge cutters safely and efficiently. Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including planting, pruning, tree trimming, and shrub care to promote plant health and aesthetics. Manage irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to ensure proper watering schedules. Identify different plant species and assess their health; apply appropriate horticultural practices or pesticides following safety protocols. Clear snow from walkways, driveways, parking lots, and other outdoor surfaces using shovels or snow removal equipment during winter months. Follow all safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents while handling power tools, heavy equipment, or hazardous materials. Requirements Previous outdoor work experience or background in groundskeeping, landscaping, or gardening is Mechanical knowledge of landscaping and grounds maintenance equipment is highly desirable. Ability to operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively in various weather conditions. Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices including mowing, tree care, hardscape installation, and irrigation systems. Strong attention to safety protocol adherence to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others. Excellent plant identification skills along with understanding of horticulture principles are a plus. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy equipment or materials and working outdoors for extended periods.
