In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, those with developmental disabilities, and residents requiring memory or dementia care. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure residents receive personalized care that promotes comfort, safety, and independence throughout your shift. This position offers an engaging opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while working within a supportive team environment. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, ensuring accurate documentation in electronic medical record (EMR) systems Administer medications as prescribed, following all safety protocols and medication management procedures Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care strategies to promote safety and engagement Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and other mobility aids to ensure safe transfers and positioning Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and preferences while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area Engage residents through social activities, companionship, and behavior management techniques to foster a positive environment Requirements Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly desirable Knowledge of caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is essential Certification or experience in first aid and CPR is preferred Ability to work effectively with EMR systems for documentation purposes Valid driver's license for transportation duties if required for community outings or appointments Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate attitude toward residents' needs Experience with personal care home settings or group homes is a plus Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting using Hoyer lifts or assisting with mobility needs Join our team as an AM/PM Caregiver where your energy fuels compassionate care!
