Job Description
Direct Support Professional - Part Time Evening Shifts Available! Help people with disabilities or mental illness live independent lives by providing support and services. Direct Support Professionals provide daily care for adults with disabilities in a supportive home setting. Responsibilities include personal care, medication administration, household tasks, and guiding individuals through life skills development. Staff also accompany persons served on outings, appointments, and recreational activities offering variety and meaningful connection beyond the home. While rewarding, the role requires calm problem-solving and de-escalation during challenging behaviors . Collaboration is ongoing with house leads, case managers, and clinical staff to ensure care plans are followed. Shifts vary and are team-based, with opportunities for both independent work and group support depending on the needs of the home.

Staples, Motley, and Pillager, MN Key Responsibilities Provide direct care and support with daily living activities, including personal care Administer medications according to established procedures Assist with household tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry Support individuals in developing and maintaining life skills Accompany individuals to appointments, outings, and community activities Implement behavior support strategies and respond calmly to challenging situations Complete accurate and timely documentation Follow all care plans, policies, and state regulations Collaborate with team members, including supervisors and healthcare professionals Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Ability to pass a Minnesota DHS background study and pre-employment drug screening Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform physical job duties Basic computer skills and ability to complete documentation accurately Ability to follow state and company policies, including 245D requirements Schedule Requirements Full and Part-time positions available Evening (3PM-7PM), Awake NOC (7PM-7AM), Sleep NOC (9PM-9AM), and Day (7AM-7PM or 9AM-9PM)shifts available!
