Alpha Services Company of Rochester is seeking full-time Direct Support Staff in Red Wing, MN. Direct Support Staff should have a High School Diploma or equivalent or is in the process of obtaining it. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental illness is preferable but not required. Training is provided. Direct Support Staff are required to have a valid Minnesota's driver's license and suitable record to maintain insurability. Direct Support Staff must be able to speak and write English and be able to converse in the language with consumers. Must have a good driving record and be deemed insurable by our company vehicle insurance carrier. All Direct Support Staff must maintain insurability with Alpha Services' company vehicle insurance carrier to maintain their employment. If a Direct Support Staff is deemed uninsurable due to driving infractions, accidents, speeding tickets or other violations on their driving record at any time during their employment, they will no longer be eligible to work as Direct Support Staff and will be terminated from their position.

Job Description :

The Direct Support Staff is responsible for the monitoring and supervision needed to carry out the Activities of Daily Living for the consumers they supervise. The areas of their responsibilities include but may not be limited to: Medical Issues, Documentation, Behavioral Intervention, Teaching of Daily Living Skills, Supervision, Social Interactions, Communication, Home Maintenance, Interpersonal Relationship Skills, Staff Schedule, and Transportation.
