POSITION SUMMARY
Under Grace Adult Day Program is seeking two dependable, compassionate, and professional Part-Time Adult Day Program Supervisors to help oversee daily operations and provide quality care and support to our adult participants. The ideal candidate is someone who genuinely enjoys working with older adults and individuals living with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, memory loss, and other age-related conditions . This position requires someone who is patient, dependable, organized, comfortable providing hands-on assistance when needed, and able to communicate professionally with participants, families, caregivers, and staff—even when situations are challenging. The Supervisor will help ensure that participants receive safe, respectful, person-centered care while assisting the program with documentation, care-plan monitoring, staff oversight, and daily operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Participant Care & Support Provide compassionate, respectful, and person-centered support to adult participants. Assist participants with activities of daily living as appropriate, including toileting and incontinence-related needs. Work with individuals experiencing Alzheimer's disease, dementia, confusion, memory loss, behavioral changes, and other cognitive challenges. Monitor participant safety, comfort, behavior, nutrition, hydration, and overall well-being. Recognize changes in a participant's condition or behavior and communicate concerns appropriately. Help maintain a clean, safe, welcoming, and dignified environment. Encourage participation in activities and social engagement. Care Plans & Participant Goals Review participant care plans and monitor progress toward established goals. Assist with updating goals and identifying areas where additional support may be needed. Document observations and participant progress accurately. Participate in care-plan reviews and communicate relevant observations to appropriate staff, caregivers, and families. Ensure services provided are consistent with participant needs and established care plans. Family & Caregiver Communication Communicate professionally and respectfully with participants' families and caregivers. Respond appropriately to questions, concerns, complaints, and difficult conversations. Maintain professionalism when dealing with challenging personalities or emotionally difficult situations. Communicate changes in participant condition, behavior, attendance, or needs to the appropriate supervisor. Protect participant confidentiality and privacy. Administrative & Computer Responsibilities Use computers and basic office technology to complete daily administrative tasks. Print, scan, copy, fax, email, and organize documents. Complete and maintain required participant documentation. Enter information into electronic systems and maintain accurate records. Assist with filing, tracking forms, incident documentation, attendance, and other program records. Communicate through email and other approved electronic systems. Program & Staff Support Help monitor daily program operations. Assist with ensuring staff are following participant care plans and program procedures. Provide guidance and support to direct-care staff when appropriate. Report staffing, participant, safety, or operational concerns to management. Help maintain compliance with program policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. Assist with opening, closing, and general program responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience working with older adults, individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, disabilities, healthcare, adult day services, home care, assisted living, or a related field preferred. Must be comfortable assisting individuals with personal care and incontinence needs. Must be dependable and consistently arrive on time and ready to work . Must demonstrate patience, compassion, professionalism, and good judgment. Must be able to work effectively with participants, families, caregivers, and coworkers. Must be comfortable working with individuals who may have challenging behaviors or cognitive impairments. Basic computer skills required. Must be able to communicate clearly verbally and in writing. Must be able to maintain confidentiality. Must be willing to follow established policies, procedures, and care plans.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Medication Technician (Med Tech) certification preferred, but not required. CNA, CMT, LPN, RN, Medical Assistant, or other healthcare-related certification is a plus. Experience with Alzheimer's and dementia care. Experience completing care-plan reviews or documenting participant progress. Previous supervisory or lead experience. Experience working in an adult day program, assisted living facility, memory-care setting, home health, or similar environment.

IMPORTANT EXPECTATIONS
This is a hands-on supervisory position . The Supervisor should not expect to spend the entire shift behind a desk. The successful candidate will be expected to interact with participants, observe the program, support staff, communicate with families, complete documentation, and assist with participant needs when necessary. Reliability and punctuality are essential. Because our participants depend on consistent care and supervision, frequent tardiness, last-minute call-offs, or unreliable attendance will not be acceptable.
PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT
The position may require the employee to: Stand and walk for extended periods. Assist participants with mobility and daily activities. Bend, stoop, reach, and move throughout the facility. Assist with toileting and incontinence-related care. Respond appropriately to unexpected participant needs or behaviors. Work in an environment serving adults with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and other cognitive or physical limitations.
