Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Personal Assistant to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various living environments. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Monitor patient health by checking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature regularly. Support medication administration following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for privacy and confidentiality. Provide emotional support and companionship to foster a positive environment for residents or clients. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking. Help with mobility and transfers using proper patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques. Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through light cleaning duties and ensure a safe environment for all residents. Document patient observations, update care plans, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams regarding changes in condition or needs. Support residents during outings or appointments using personal transportation assistance when needed. Follow all safety protocols including first aid, CPR certification requirements, and emergency response procedures. Qualifications Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments. Knowledge of patient observation techniques and dementia or Alzheimer's care strategies. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client privacy at all times. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and patient transfers using appropriate equipment like Hoyer lifts. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in hospice care or geriatrics are a plus. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration. Ability to follow detailed care plans and document observations accurately.
