Direct Care Staff are responsible for providing supervision, structure, support, and guidance to residents while maintaining a safe and respectful environment. This position requires individuals who can remain professional and calm, establish appropriate boundaries, follow facility policies, and serve as positive role models for youth. Primary Responsibilities Provide direct supervision and care to residents. Maintain required resident supervision and complete scheduled room/safety checks. Assist residents with daily routines, chores, hygiene, meals, school preparation, and bedtime routines. Transport residents to school, appointments, approved visits, activities, and community outings as assigned. Administer medications according to physician orders and Noel's Haven procedures after required training/certification. Accurately document medication administration. Complete daily shift documentation, behavior notes, incident reports, and other required records. Provide appropriate behavioral redirection and de-escalation. Encourage positive communication, coping skills, accountability, and healthy decision-making. Maintain professional boundaries with residents. Monitor residents for safety concerns, prohibited items, elopement risks, self-harm concerns, and other significant behaviors. Immediately report safety concerns and critical incidents according to facility policy. Assist with meals and basic household responsibilities. Participate in emergency and disaster drills. Maintain resident confidentiality. Follow all Noel's Haven policies and procedures. Communicate professionally with management, coworkers, Caseworkers, and other authorized professionals. Perform other duties necessary for the safety and operation of the home.

Minimum Qualifications Applicants must:

Be at least 20 years of age . Possess a valid driver's license. Be able to pass all required background screenings. Be dependable and able to report to scheduled shifts on time. Be able to work effectively with adolescents. Demonstrate good judgment and appropriate professional boundaries. Be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Be able to complete required documentation accurately. Be willing to complete all required training. Certifications Applicants should have or be willing to obtain: CPR/First Aid Certification Level 1 Medication Aide (LIMA) Certification Training may be provided for qualified applicants who do not currently hold the required certifications. Preferred Experience Previous experience working in any of the following areas is beneficial: Residential care, foster care, child welfare, behavioral health, youth services, group homes, direct support, schools, juvenile services, healthcare, or other human-service settings. Schedule Full-Time and Part-Time Positions Available Applicants should have flexibility to work residential shifts, which may include: Days, Evenings, Overnight Shifts, Weekends, and Holidays Specific schedules will be discussed during the interview process.
