Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by offering personalized assistance with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their well-being. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and an understanding of the unique needs of individuals in various living situations, including home care, assisted living, and group homes. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life. Monitor and document vital signs and changes in the client's condition. Medication reminder. Support clients with mobility needs, including the use of Hoyer lifts when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks. Engage clients in social activities that promote mental stimulation and well-being. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans effectively. Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, or developmental disabilities as needed. Skills Proficiency in First Aid and CPR certification is preferred. Experience in home health, hospice care, or long-term care settings is highly valued. Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in health status or behavior. Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility challenges. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality and privacy. Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism or developmental disabilities. Familiarity with memory care techniques and strategies for engaging clients with cognitive impairments. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
