We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Attendant to provide personal care and homemaker tasks. In this vital role, you will promote independence, ensure safety, and enhance the quality of life for residents or through personalized care. Duties Assist client with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote personal hygiene and comfort. Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering positive social interactions and engaging residents in meaningful activities. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal service, ensuring safety during food handling and cooking. Maintain a clean environment by performing light cleaning duties, laundry, and ensuring common areas are safe and sanitary. Follow all care plans meticulously while respecting individual preferences and cultural considerations; communicate effectively with clients and team members. Qualifications At least one year of medical setting experience Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic first aid/CPR certification required. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information. Experience supporting individuals with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), intellectual disabilities or developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and use patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts; manual handling skills essential. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Capable of performing light cleaning tasks and meal preparation in accordance with safety standards.
