Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and care to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their well-being and promoting their independence. You will work closely with clients in a group home setting, assisting them with daily activities, personal care, and skill development. Responsibilities Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in accordance with their personalized care plans. Assist clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication management. Monitor patients' health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Facilitate social and recreational activities to enhance clients' quality of life and promote community involvement. Ensure the rights of residents are respected and upheld at all times. Assist with heavy lifting as needed for mobility support or during activities. Maintain a clean and safe environment for all residents. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized support strategies. Experience Previous experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is preferred. Background in nursing or healthcare is a plus but not required. Skills in patient monitoring, cooking, meal preparation, and hospice care are highly valued. Familiarity with resident rights in a group home setting is beneficial. Must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
